CRANIOPLASTIC

The need of cranioplasty surgery occurs whenever the bone of the skull vault is removed, or the patient suffers a fracture, for numerous reasons, such as:

- Post-traumatic craniectomy, due to fragmented bone osteo-dural decompression techniques;

- Disruptive craniectomy, due to surgical treatment;

- Destructive craniectomy for tumors involving bone, ab-intrinsic or contiguity;

- Bone defects due to malformations.

This operation is crucial for the protection of the underlying soft tissues, and for the recovery of the cranial features lost by the patient as a result of the deprivation of bone tissue.
